The 2015 Minnesota Farmfest is being held in Morgan, Minn., from now until August 6, connecting 35,000+ attendees with 600 exhibitors for three days of education and political forums, field demonstrations featuring the latest technological advances in the farming industry, and networking. Attendees can explore Farmfest exhibits across 50 acres of space.

"We celebrate diversity here at the Gilfillan Estate each August and are reminded how our differences are our strength,” said David Frederickson, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. “We’re also here to look back and learn from past shortfalls or inefficiencies in the annual sowing, growing and harvesting of crops and livestock. Here you’ll find the latest innovations and technology to save the farmer time and money, protect the environment, and still produce higher yields."

Some of the seminars being held at Farmfest 2015 include, “Addressing Key Ag Policy Issues Beyond the Farm Bill,” “Preparing for Catastrophic Livestock Diseases,” and “The Changing Public Perception of Agriculture.”

Rural broadband expansion is also a large focus of Farmfest 2015. Expanding connections between farmers, equipment providers and distributors is increasing productivity and efficiency out in the field.

Some of the notable individuals who will speaking at the event include Bob Stallman, president of the American Farm Bureau Federation; Chandler Goule, vice president of the National Farmers Union; and Steve Brake, president of the Minnesota Board of Animal Health. 2015 marks the 34th annual Minnesota Farmfest.
