Purdue students and faculty will share their latest findings on soybean production at the 2017 Purdue Soybean Showcase.

Purdue University will be hosting its 2017 Soybean Showcase on July 27 at the Beck Agricultural Center in West Lafayette, Indiana. The event will include research plot tours and informational sessions, all geared toward further educating agricultural professionals.

“The event is an opportunity for Purdue University faculty, students and staff to highlight their various soybean related research efforts,” said Marshall Martin, director of the Purdue University Soybean Center.

The Indiana Soybean Alliance is teaming up with Purdue University to host the event. Attendees will learn innovative, new uses for soybeans and soy co-products, in addition to listening to lectures by Purdue faculty.

“This is a great opportunity for Indiana farmers to see the research that their soybean checkoff supports, and provides the unique opportunity of allowing attendees to really interact with the researchers leading the way on these initiatives,” said Aly Wells, director of Production and Environment at the Indiana Soybean Alliance. “The Indiana Soybean Alliance remains focused on supporting on-farm research and tools that help soybean farmers maximize their farms’ performance while also being good stewards of the land. We’re all looking forward to seeing the progress that is being made.”

The event will be hosted from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 4540 U.S. 52 West, West Lafayette, Indiana. Attendees are being asked to pre-register online by July 18.
