A farm equipment store in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was the site of a recent theft involving more than $50,000 worth of John Deere lawnmowers on May 6, The Murfreesboro Post reported.

According to the news outlet, the theft at the Tri Green Equipment store on Middle Tennessee Boulevard was discovered when employees from a nearby store noticed a John Deere all-terrain vehicle parked in the middle of an adjacent street. It was after this discovery that they realized almost 30 yards of fencing had been cut in front of the store.

Police were called following the discovery, and it was soon realized that the Tri Green store was the scene of the crime, and a recently-made trail through the woods was found behind the main building of the company. It remains likely that they stole and used John Deere equipment to vacate the premises.

According to the Post, as of May 9 the police had not arrested or charged any suspects in connection with the theft, and the crime remains under investigation. Police have asked anyone with information about the incident to contact the CrimeStoppers unit at (615) 893-7867.
