The recently introduced John Deere Parts OnSite program allows contractors to better manage their parts inventory in collaboration with their local John Deere dealer, according to a Lawn and Landscape article.

Parts OnSite is a comprehensive parts stocking and replacement system, which attempts to give contractors and dealers a better look at their inventory while optimizing cost efficiency. To get started, contractors meet with their local dealer to discuss the specific needs of their businesses. The program includes the placing of a John Deere parts cabinet at the contractor’s location, allowing crews to take parts directly off the cabinet shelf, which are then re-stocked by the dealer as needed. The program can also be implemented onto crew trailers or trucks, making it even more convenient for contractors to stay stocked on the go.

Jim Goldschmidt, parts product line manager, John Deere Turf & Utility, says in the article, “Through the Parts OnSite program, dealers develop a better understanding of their customers’ needs, including parts, supplies, equipment and financing. This understanding is what makes the Parts OnSite program successful for both the contractor and the dealer.”

The program includes everything from belts to blades, oil filters, spindles, deck wheels and PTO clutches, according to Lawn and Landscape. With all of these parts available on-site, contractors will likely experience improved productivity, while dealers will gain a better understanding of their customer’s needs.
