According to a company news release, John Deere recently announced its A Model Fairway, Trim and Surrounds and Rough Mower line at the 2014 Golf Industry Show in Orlando, Florida, which is designed to provide superintendents increased control, easier operator training, and best-in-class after-cut appearance.

The product line contains some consistent features across all models including a TechControl display, AutoPedal, LoadMatch, internal wet disc brakes and improved operator stations. The A Models also feature OnCourse Technology, which allows for integrated electronic controls with mechanical features to deliver improved performance, better diagnostics, and more uptime and reliability. Additionally, the complete line is Tier 4 compliant.

Mike Koppen, product marketing manager, John Deere Golf, said in the release, "We are committed to delivering equipment that is improved for a purpose, and not simply for the sake of change. With the A models, our goal was to provide the features and benefits superintendents and their crews need to create the best results possible, packaged in mowing equipment that not only meets Final Tier 4 requirements, but includes elements and advances that decrease downtime, increase productivity and operator comfort."

A total of eight new models have been added to the John Deere Golf and Turf equipment line, each designed to provide better control, easier operator training, and high-quality after-cut appearance.
