According to a recent press release, John Deere has introduced its new M-Series Tracked Feller Bunchers and Tracked Harvesters, which include mid and large-sized models designed to increase uptime and overall productivity.

The 800M and 800MH Series Reduced Tail Swing aim to set a new standard in midsize machines, while the 900M and 900MH-Series look to improve upon Deere’s large-sized forestry machines. Deere collaborated with its Customer Advocate Group (CAG), a collection of enlisted loggers from around the world, to gather real-world insights and feedback when designing the new machines.

Brent Day, of William A. Day Jr. & Sons, in Porter, Maine, says about the latest additions to Deere’s forestry family, "John Deere addressed everything we asked them for. What's not to like? The stability, the visibility, the serviceability. Hats off to them for building machines that fit many different applications. They've done a great job."

The machines’ Rapid Cycle System (RCS) combines automated felling-head arm cycling with simple boom control, reducing operator fatigue. The new operator system onboard all M-Series machines is roomier and includes fully adjustable armrests that provide fingertip control of all machine functions. Additional available features include a through-nosed harvester head plumbing option, an optional undercarriage-mounted toolbox, and John Deere ForestSight and Ultimate Uptime.

Currently available in North America, these new pieces of John Deere forestry equipment have been designed with the customers in mind, offering several features that target increased uptime and productivity.
