Organizers of the 42nd Annual Le Sueur County Pioneer Power Show have announced that antique John Deere tractors, equipment and gas engines will highlight the event, slated to take place between August 28 and 30. The exhibition has been titled, “Deere Thru the Ages.”

The celebration will kick off with a tractor ride on Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m., which will last approximately one hour. Machines ranging from plows to combines manufactured between the 1920s and 1970s will be on display throughout the showgrounds. Those who want to exhibit their John Deere equipment will receive free admission to the entire event.

Le Sueur County Pioneer Power President Tom Graham told the Le Sueur News-Herald that the Power Show could see more than 10,000 people over the course of three days.

“For a lot of people, it will be a recollection from when they’re kids, riding in the tractors,” Graham told the news source. “Also for some of the older, owning some of the equipment.”

At the event, there will also be a consignment auction for attendees. The public will be able to bid on tractors, parts and antique machinery. This will be the 14th year in a row that a consignment auction has been held at the Power Show.

To top it all off, a tractor pull and live music will be held at the event for entertainment.

The Annual Le Sueur County Pioneer Power Show originally began on the farm of David Preuhs in 1973.
