As farmers look to learn about the latest in agricultural equipment and technology, organizers are gearing up for the crowd anticipated at the 49th annual World Ag Expo. The event, which is slated for Feb. 9 through Feb. 11, will be held at the International Agri-Center grounds in Tulare, Calif.

The objective of the event is to give attendees insight into new technology that could help them operate more efficiently throughout the year. The World Ag Expo typically brings more than 100,000 people from 50 countries around the globe, according to the Western Farm Press.

“World Ag Expo is designed to help facilitate discussions between exhibitors, producers, and others about the latest innovations and opportunities available in agriculture today,” IAC Chief Executive Officer Jerry Sinift told the news source.

There will be several agricultural tours available to attendees throughout the event, including one through a series of Fresno-area wineries. Attendees can also sign up for tours of Visalia dairy farms, citrus groves and orchards.

Equipment showcases will be held during all three days of the event. During these showcases, attendees will be able to see all of the exhibitors’ products in one place.

Tickets are now on sale for the event on the World Ag Expo website, www.worldagexpo.com. The expo will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the first two days of the event, and the final day will operate between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
