The 9009A TerrainCut™ Rough Mower has been added to Deere's golf equipment lineup to bring a new level of performance and productivity to the course.

John Deere announced the new 9009A TerrainCut Rough Mower on Feb. 3, expanding its line of A Model Fairway, Rough and Trim, and Surrounds Mowers. This new machine is designed to maximize productivity and cut quality for operators, making it easy to manage the grass on any course.

"The 9009A was designed to provide productivity while focusing on cut quality for early morning mowing," said Tracy Lanier, product manager of John Deere Golf. "The deck design maximizes clipping dispersal, and customers who have operated the 9009A have been impressed with the dispersal and labor savings of reducing the use of a blower to clean up the grass clippings."

The John Deere 9009A TerrainCut Rough Mower has a five-gang, 27-inch independent rotary deck mower with a nine-foot cutting width. It also has a quick height-of-cut adjustment system that does not require any tools to use. This means that operators can change the height of their cut without needing to stop.

TechControl allows users to adjust their mow and transport speed accordingly, and turn speed settings can also be changed to reduce the risk of turf damage during an aggressive ride.

The John Deere 9009A is the lightest mower in its class, yet it is designed to not compromise on durability. All-wheel drive provides smooth operation, while front and rear access points to the operator station make the mower simple to maintain.
