While many people who have used John Deere tractors may favor the newer additions that the company has put into the latest models, a group of Nebraskans decided to make a cross-state trek on older versions of the iconic machines.

NTV ABC reported that the line of antique John Deere tractors could be seen travelling through the state, as farm equipment enthusiasts took their favorite models on the cross-Nebraska trek as a way to celebrate the history behind the machines.

"I almost think I'd part with her before I would that tractor. They're really a piece of cake," joked Ed Axmann, standing beside his wife and looking at his 1961 John Deere diesel tractor.

The Omaha World-Herald reported that the route for the tractors is divided into nine one-day segments, as the path was broken up to give the riders a chance to rest.
