Deere recognizes New Albany, Ohio company

John Deere has tapped an Ohio company with the honor of partner-level supplier for 2010, according to a press release.

New Albany-based Commercial Vehicle Group, a leading supplier of fully integrated system solutions for the global commercial vehicle market, assists with the construction and agriculture markets, the heavy-duty truck market and the specialty and military transportation markets.

"We are very pleased to receive this continuing recognition from John Deere," according to Mervin Dunn, the company's president and chief executive officer. "CVG and John Deere have had a long and rewarding relationship. This award speaks to the dedication and care CVG employees bring to our products and to our customers. Our thanks and appreciation goes to them for an excellent job with a great customer."

CVG's specialty is to provide components each of which is integrated into a finished John Deere construction equipment before it is sent to a John Deere dealership or customer.

"After being awarded Partner-level status for 2009, our teams in Agua Prieta, Sonora Mexico and Monona, Iowa set out to improve upon their performance," according to Kevin Frailey, president and general manager of the company's electrical systems unit. "This award recognizes their success in achieving that goal."
