The 10th annual Ernie Williams Ltd. open house was held in Estherville, Iowa, to celebrate the good fortunes of local farmers in a time of crisis within the agricultural industry. High corn and soybean prices have resulted from of a drowned-out bottom land in the Missouri River basin, but area residents have remained optimistic due to their success, according to the Estherville Daily News.
"We've wanted to do something here locally for the customers that support us locally," John Anderson, a salesman for Ernie Williams, told the news source.
One of the main attractions for the open house was the new 7230R John Deere tractor, which instantly became a focal point for visitors. Although the product has yet to be released, interest was generated due to the many enhancements for the vehicle, the news source reported.
The 7230 model, manufactured in Waterloo, Iowa, features the new JD Link online diagnostic program and boasts the most horsepower in its class, according to the Daily News.
Upon its release in August, the 7230 John Deere tractor will be able to reach speeds of up to 25 miles per hour, according to the company website.
