Hundreds of agricultural producers and representatives from local businesses recently descended upon Sinclairville, New York, to talk about and demonstrate the innovations that have been made in farming technology over the past year, the Jamestown Post Journal reports.
According to the media outlet, the town's Agricultural Day, or Ag Day as most participants called it, occurs every year in Chautauqua County, giving local farmers and agricultural technology companies the opportunity to share which products were the most effective and which will likely see widespread adoption in the near future.
Farmers stopped by the many booths that were set up, displaying a number of innovations that could potentially improve their operations, crop yields and ultimately profits.
According to the media outlet, the event may be an opportunity for businesses to sell their products, but at its core, it is a way for producers to peer into the future to see what new product could be next, whether its disease-resistant seeds, eco friendly farm equipment or genetically stronger plants. At the end of the day, the amount of sales made typically takes a backseat to the confidence farmers feel as they head back to their lands.
