The news source reported that the journey will be made by John Deere enthusiasts from across the state of Illinois, as they will travel to the Quad Cities area to attend the biennial "Gathering of the Green" conference in Davenport.

The Journal-Standard reported that the event, which will be held in the River Center from March 14 to 17, will offer admirers of John Deere antique two-cylinder and New Generation tractors and implements an opportunity to enjoy workshops and to go shopping in the vendor area.

The "Gathering of the Green" event is run by four tractor clubs from both Iowa and Illinois, and features a variety of programs and exhibitions that help to teach enthusiasts of new restoration techniques, bringing together fans of John Deere farm equipment and offering a place for individuals to showcase their favorite models, according to the event website.
