According to a recent company news release, John Deereā€™s GT-30300 Grain Moisture Tester allows grain producers to more accurately monitor up to 20 different grain variations during harvest and in storage.

The new hand-held device provides a direct readout of moisture and test weight in just seconds, without having to pre-weigh the samples. The new product measures the moisture of harvested or stored grain from 5% to 45% with repeatable accuracy to plus or minus 0.2% and test weights with repeatable accuracy of 0.5lb. per bushel, according to the release.

The GT-30300 also measures the temperature of stored grains from 40 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, with an included backlit LCD display for easy viewing of data, automatic temperature compensation and a USB port and cord to make software updates and downloading data a simple, unified process.

Barry Deiters, product manager with John Deere Merchandise, says about the new product, "This grain tester will hold more than 40 different grain calibrations, more than most competitive models, and will automatically average the operator's choice of 3, 6, or 9 sample readings. The GT-30300 Grain Tester is designed to provide accurate grain moisture, test weight and temperature readings quickly and easily, without having to enter additional data or codes."

Grain producers looking to monitor grain moisture levels during the harvest and storage can now easily do so from the palm of their hand thanks to the new John Deere GT-30300 Grain Moisture Tester.
