To enhance equipment management, John Deere announced the launch of a new telematics interface on March 22. The JDLink Dashboard, as it’s been named, will now provide customers with easy-to-use tools to manage all of their machines with JDLink Ultimate, Express or Locate subscriptions.

"The JDLink Dashboard provides customers the ability to improve machine uptime, make machine data easier to assess and understand and allow users to do more with their fleet information," said Paul Garcia, product manager of John Deere WorkSight. "This new web application will streamline equipment maintenance management and documentation of owning and operating costs, leading to increased profits and improved productivity for our customers."

With the JDLink Dashboard, users will be able to see the most important metrics up front, including red alerts, machines with zero hours, machines with the highest idle time, and equipment that is being over or underutilized.

JDLink Dashboard can be accessed with web browsers, tablets and smartphones. The telematics interface has a feature called Maintenance Manager, which lets individuals set up factory or custom plans with engine-hour or calendar-based service intervals.

Earlier this month, John Deere announced that customers would also be able to explore a new feature called the JDLink ROI estimator. The tool can be used to quantify the value of keeping machines linked to the JDLink system.
