March 14, 2019 will mark this year’s celebration of National Ag Day, a nationwide event dedicated to bringing together producers, agricultural associations, corporations, universities, and government agencies. The goal is to recognize and celebrate the abundance provided by agriculture across the country. This year, John Deere is a platinum partner.

The Agriculture Council of America (ACA) hosts National Ag Day each year. The group is made up of leaders in the agriculture, food, and fiber communities. The ACA and National Ag Day program was started back in 1973. Since then, it has grown into a popular event that brings together leaders in the industry.

The ACA believes that every American should understand how food and fiber products are produced and appreciate the role agriculture plays in providing “safe, abundant and affordable products.” Its primary focus is hosting National Ag Day every March to achieve these initiatives.

National Ag Day 2019 will kick off with a celebration at the Capitol Visitor Center in Washington D.C. on March 13. This will be followed by a Press Club event on March 14, also hosted in Washington D.C. – United States Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Stephen Censky will be the featured speaker at this specific event. Additional seminars and summits will be hosted throughout the Washington D.C. area surrounding March 14.
