The Northeast Two-Cylinder Club recently announced that they would be co-sponsoring the John Deere Expo, August 22-24, 2014 at the fairgrounds in New Boston, New Hampshire, with The Hillsborough Country Youth Center Foundation, giving tractor enthusiasts an opportunity to come together and enjoy festivities.

John Deere tractor collectors will gather from all around, bringing their two-cylinders for exhibit and contests. This weekend of entertainment will include antique tractor parades, demonstrations, educational seminars, games, special activities for children and much more.

According to The Cabinet Press, Mike Chase, a Brookline resident and the first vice-chair of the Hillsborough County Youth Center Foundation, described the event as a fun and exciting way to bring together families from all of New England and elsewhere.

Chase said, “It’s a weekend when everyone comes together to show their hobbies and have some friendly competing. The exhibitors are a friendly, informative bunch of people. Anyone with the slightest interest in older mechanized farming is sure to have a great time.”

The featured tractor will be the "First Number Series 1953 to 1956" tractors. However, you don’t have to own a tractor to attend the event, as there are many activities taking place. Tom Miller, a member of the Northeast Two-Cylinder Tractor Club, explained that nowadays, most people are so far removed from traditional ways of farming that seeing the old machinery in person and learning how it works is an entirely new experience.

The Hillsboro Country Foundation Grounds are located on route 13, east of New Boston, New Hampshire. Camping will be available and vendors and observers are also welcome to attend. Gates will be open from 9am to 6pm on August 22, 23, and 24th.
