According to a recent company news release, John Deere has added new four-cylinder 5E and 5ML Series models to its utility tractor lineup that are designed to provide operators with more power and durability.

The 5E models have been manufactured with even more power for applications such as livestock feeding, haying operations, and roadside mowing. The 5ML models were built as low-profile machines that can be ideal pieces of equipment for working in orchards, livestock barns and other restricted-height environments.

Brad Aldridge, 5 Series product marketing manager for John Deere, says about the new models, "We've taken our popular, market-proven 5 Series Utility Tractor lineup and added new models that make it even easier to perform more jobs on the property or around the farm, ranch or orchard. These versatile 5E and 5ML Tractors combine durability with value and are the perfect choice for many types of customers."

The new four-cylinder 5Es feature heavy-duty frames, axles, engines and transmission to deliver greater performance and value. Available in 85 and 100 engine horsepower, the 5085E and 5100E are backed by John Deere PowerTech 4045 diesel engines that give the tractors the muscle to lift more than 3,200 pounds rear-lift capacity and more than 3,500 pounds at full front loader height.

The 5ML Tractors are available in two models, the 100 engine horsepower 5100ML and 115 horsepower 5115ML. The Final Tier 4 compliant PowerTech engines automatically perform regeneration for maximum uptime, offering significant cost of ownership advantages over competitive models.
