John Deere has announced a new Triple-Mounted Mower-Conditioner line of vehicles, as the three machine system will allow farmers to mow and condition more hay in less time, according to a company release.

The system will combine a 131 Front-Mount Mower-Conditioner with a model 388 Twin Rear-Mount Mower-Conditioner to help provide farmers with a mechanism to cut a swath that is 28 feet wide, the release noted.

"This mo-co combination allows the operator to cut and condition up to 40 acres of hay per hour depending on field conditions," said Jeremy Unruh, baling and mowing product manager for John Deere. "The Triple-Mounted Mo-Co offers our large beef and dairy cattle customers and custom operators a wide cutting width of 28 feet, 8 inches and a narrow transport width of 10 feet, 2 inches."

Tractors that are attached to the mo-co unit need to be equipped with more than 190 rear PTO horsepower along with front hitch and 1000 RPM PTO. By using models that meet these specifications, producers are able to improve the productivity of their haying operations.
