Soul and Vibe Interactive Inc., a publisher of games, music, and interactive books for digital devices, announced on July 21 that it had released “Goodnight, Johnny Tractor.” The bedtime-themed interactive storybook is branded by John Deere.
The story stresses the importance of teamwork and friendship, featuring Johnny Tractor and friends along the way. Additionally, the “Puzzle Time” mode teaches readers about tractors, combines, and utility vehicles.
The interactive book is now available in Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store, as well as on Amazon for Kindle Fire devices. It includes features that are designed to help children increase reading comprehension and early literacy.
Last November, Soul and Vibe Interactive Inc., announced that it would be publishing a similar interactive storybook with John Deere. Titled “Johnny Tractor and Friends: Snow Day,” the book was published in December 2015 in time for the winter season.
In this particular book, the story was set in Deerfield Valley where Johnny Tractor could promote teamwork and friendship with other characters. Similar to “Goodnight, Johnny Tractor,” this book was designed to promote early literacy. It was also released for iOS, Android and Kindle devices.
“We chose to enter the interactive book category from a position of strength, and that strength comes in the form of a high-quality product that bears a top-tier licensed-brand, John Deere,” said Peter Anthony Chiodo, Soul and Vibe’s CEO and president, at the time of the announcement.
