Antiquated farming machinery, including Deere tractors, will be auctioned this weekend in California.
Antique farm equipment enthusiasts will be flocking to Southern California next weekend to bid on machinery including a John Deere Model D orchard-style tractor, according to a published report.

"One guy from Colorado said he's coming in with a 70-foot trailer," auctioneer Tony Mitchell DeZago said.

The Santa Ana auction will feature a large amount of collector’s items that belonged to the Warne family of Westminster, DeZago said. Mary Warne-Parks, granddaughter of the leader of the homestead, said many of the items hold enormous significance to her.

"My dad used to put me on the conveyor belt," Warne-Parks said of the machine used to process produce. "I'd ride it from one end to the other."

The items that will be auctioned have not been exposed to sunlight since they were relocated to the warehouse where they are stored. That was in 1990. DeZago said the items are in good condition and they are uncommon, which is helping to drive interest.

"No one's been in here, nothing's been picked through," DeZago said. "This is a picker's paradise. The first time I walked through here, I was amazed."
