John Deere has announced that it is adding two more models to its lineup of 6R tractors: the 6230R and 6250R. The goal is to deliver faster, stronger, smarter tractors to Deere customers.

“Livestock, dairy and hay producers will appreciate the power of these tractors, especially when they need to haul heavy loads or want to reach optimal transport speed more quickly,” said Anne Anderson, product marketing manager with John Deere. “The performance and versatility of these tractors makes them a solid choice for loader and PTO work such as baling.”

The 6230R and 6250R have several new levels of power and premium features, which make them perfect for hauling hay, forage, and slurry. They deliver 230 and 250 rated engine horsepower, respectively, and the larger 6250R is capable of up to 300 horsepower when power bulge and Intelligent Power Management are factored in.

For quick acceleration, John Deere has included an Infinitely Variable Transmission as base equipment on both new models. Customers have the option of one capable of 25 miles per hour top speed, or 31 miles per hour top speed.

“The IVT saves time and money and lets operators choose the optimal speed for implement performance or transport,” Anderson continued. “Since they’re shifting less to adjust speed, they can focus more attention on implement performance or other important tasks.”

Finally, both the 6230R and 6250R have Generation 4 4200 CommandCenter 8.4-inch color displays for field documentation and equipment management.
