John Deere has announced a new line of harvester heads, which will replace the H413, H415, and H415HD models. The small-size H423 harvester head and the large-size H425 and H425HD will all have a 4WD feed, just as their predecessors did.

The H423 harvester head will be compatible on the 1070G, 1170G, and 1270G wheeled harvester machines. And those who purchase the H425 harvester head will be able to use it on the 1270G and 1470G wheeled harvester machines.

"The new harvesting heads provide excellent performance, durability, measuring accuracy, and economy," said Sakari Suuriniemi, product marketing manager for Wheeled Harvesters and Heads at John Deere Forestry. "So far, we've received great customer feedback on the latest updates and can't wait to see the updated harvester heads in action this season."

Those working with thinnings and other fellings where the tree diameter at chest height is between 150 and 350mm will find the H423 harvester head especially useful. This is largely due to the attachment features, which offer improved hose routing from boom to harvester head.

The H425 harvester head is perfect for final fellings, as well as other fellings where the tree diameter at chest height is between 250 to 500mm. This head also offers an HD tilt frame, feed motor arms, lower delimbing knives, and expander pins in the upper end of the tilt cylinder.
