According to an announcement from the Horicon Chamber of Commerce events page, John Deere enthusiasts will have an opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first John Deere lawn and garden Tractor July 26-28 in Horicon, Wisconsin.

The event, which is free to the public, will celebrate the 1963 John Deere 110 lawn and garden tractor, as more than 200 110 models are expected to be on display. Along with original 110 models, more than 1,000 other John Deere garden tractors will be on exhibit for enthusiasts and collectors to explore, according to a Watertown Daily Times article.

In the WDTimes article, Lawn and Garden Tractor Magazine Editor Kate Goelzhauser says “This is a niche event for certain, but we all know John Deere enthusiasts come in large quantities and those interested in lawn and garden equipment are as passionate about their collecting as anyone. We’ve been planning this event for months and have collectors joining us from as far away as California, Canada, Connecticut, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Florida. We can’t wait to see the variety of machines and fans that help us celebrate 50 years of mowing with John Deere.”

The weekend-long event will also include daily parades of tractors, lawn and tractor shows and exhibits, swap meets, memorabilia displays, John Deere Blacksmith demonstrations, and question and answer sessions with John Deere retirees who worked on the original 110 model.

John Deere enthusiasts from all over are expected to congregate in Horicon, Wisconsin to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first John Deere lawn and garden tractor.
