The small-town atmosphere and wide assortment of activities for local families brought thousands of people to Los Olivos for the 31st annual Day in the Country celebration, according to the Santa Maria Times.

There is a wide range of events in the celebration, ranging from the pie-baking contest to a vintage tractor parade. Kids enjoyed the "Zoo to You" animal show and various games that were available, the news source reported.

"I love bringing my kids here every year, you never know what friends you might run into. And I love seeing all the arts and crafts," Amy Fisher, a Los Alamos resident, told the Times.
