John Deere has once again been listed as one of the world's most ethical companies by Ethisphere Institute.

John Deere Named to Ethisphere’s List of World’s Most Ethical Companies

According to a recent news release, John Deere and Company has been recognized on Ethisphere Institute's "World's Most Ethical Companies" list for the eight consecutive year.

This year’s list, which includes 144 honorees across 41 industries, recognizes companies that truly go beyond making statements about doing business “ethically” and translate those words into action, according to Ethisphere. John Deere joined ten other companies earning recognition in the industrial manufacturing sector after evaluations were conducted of each company's corporate ethics and compliance program; overall reputation, leadership and innovation; corporate governance; corporate citizenship and responsibility; and company culture concerning ethics.

Timothy Erblich, chief executive officer of Ethisphere, said in the release, "The entire community of World's Most Ethical Companies believe that customers, employees, investors and regulators place a high premium on trust and that ethics and good governance are key in earning it. Deere & Company joins an exclusive community committed to driving performance through leading business practices."

Like last year’s list, the list was finalized after Ethisphere reviewed and analyzed hundreds of nominations from around the globe. Assessment of company data that was then verified by careful independent research resulted in an Ethics Quotient for each company. Those companies with the highest EQ scores in each industry were named to the final list.

Today’s complex global economy challenges companies to meet performance expectations, while addressing the varying regulatory, compliance and sustainability needs across the world. The organizations on this list, including John Deere, are recognized for taking on these challenges with ethics leading the way.
