John Deere will have five marine motors on display at a boat show in Miami later this month.
A Florida boat show will feature five John Deere marine engines, including the most recent model, according to a published report.

Scheduled for February 17 through 21, the 2011 Miami International Boat Show will feature the motors that meet emission standards established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the European Union. The PowerTech 6090AFM75 is the newest marine engine and the 9-liter, six-cylinder turbocharged engine will produce up to 425 horsepower.

"We designed the new 6090AFM75 to provide high power output with reliable, durable performance for propulsion and generator applications," according to Dave Flaherty, marine marketing manager for John Deere Power Systems. "The new engine maintains the legendary long-term reliability our customers have come to expect from John Deere."

The marine motor market is very rapidly changing, which is fine by Deere, Flaherty said. The company is more than happy to continue its customer service expertise.

"Our lineup of John Deere generator-drive marine engines is ideal for meeting the growing onboard power demands of marine customers," Flaherty said. "John Deere marine engines - with their many choices of displacement and power - allow customers to select the model that is just right for their onboard power generation needs."
