The Gateway Farm Expo, held at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney, Nebraska, brought in thousands of local residents over the course of the two-day event, according to The Fence Post.

A free lunch was offered to anyone who wanted to attend the event, which catered to farmers, ranchers, families and local businesses looking to see what new products were available in the industry, the news source reported.

"A farmer or rancher can make very good use of their time by attending the show. They have the opportunity to visit with numerous vendors and get a first-hand look at new products and services which are being offered to the industry," Jeff Burr, president of the Gateway Executive Committee, told the Post.

Food and beverages were provided by local farmers, as a testament to the farm equipment that they use in their fields. The event had several designated social functions that local residents could use as a chance to meet some of the agricultural workers, the news source reported.

The family-friendly event is held every year by the organization, as attendees have been able to enjoy the farm equipment and colorful exhibitions for 42 years, according to the event's website.
