John Deere announced on June 16 that it has updated the John Deere 670G LC Excavator to cater to customer feedback and emissions standards.

The machine is now equipped with a Final Tier 4 engine to meet emissions requirements while still providing 463 horsepower.

"The 670G LC is an efficient, reliable and durable member of the G-Series lineup that contractors rely on day in and day out for mass earthmoving," said Mark Wall, excavator product marketing manager of John Deere Construction & Forestry. "These machine updates, along with the Final Tier 4 implementation, will provide contractors with the excavator they need for big highway jobs, underground, deeper water and sewer projects."

The John Deere 670G LC Excavator is easy to maintain with its battery disconnect switch, spin-on fuel filters, and additional water separators. Its engine and hydraulic oil sample ports also allow for quick maintenance checks in between operation.

Comfort is also a highlight of this model. It includes a heated air-suspension seat and a spacious, quiet cab.

The John Deere 670G LC Excavator includes smart features, such as the Powerwise™ III engine/hydraulic management system. This allows operators to easily manage all of the machine’s productivity modes. Ultimate Uptime featuring John Deere WorkSight™ is also compatible with the excavator, which can provide insight into the machine’s health over time.
