To cater to the evolving needs of hay, livestock, and commercial customers, John Deere has finetuned its lineup of 5M Series Tractors for model year 2022. New technology and transmission options will be available to customers, as well as a new 125-horsepower tractor.

The 5M Series will now have AutoTrac™ guidance as a factory-installed option, specifically on machines with PowrQuad™ transmissions. AutoTrac is designed to provide straight-line guidance to operators, ultimately reducing overlap. This means fewer passes through the field, less fatigue, and a decrease in fuel usage.

"No other utility tractor on the market offers this level of integrated guidance on a mid-spec utility tractor, making the productivity potential of the 5M Series unmatched," Greg Christensen, marketing manager for John Deere, said. "This low-cost, entry-level guidance system can later be upgraded by plugging in a premium display for mapping and prescription-based applications."

PowrQuad transmissions are available on the 5090M, 5100M, and 5115M cab versions. It is included in the base equipment on the 125-horsepower 5125M, which is only available with a cab. With a PowrQuad transmission, operators can select the appropriate speed with clutchless, push-button shifting between gears. This allows them to focus more on their work and less on machinery operation.

The hitch-lift capacity on 5M Tractors equipped with PowrQuad transmissions also enables customers to handle large implements with the utmost visibility. Finally, the John Deere Smart Connector is available as a parts kit.
