Several pieces of used John Deere equipment were attractions at the Plato Consignment Auction on the third day of the 2013 Midwest Farm Show and Auction held at the Michiana Event Center in Howe, Indiana, December 19-21.

John Deere was well-represented at the auction as several tractors, combines, heads, planters, mowers, and more were on the block. The auction capped off a three day event which provided attendees with an opportunity to participate in seminars and discussions with producers of all kinds.

According to a recent Farmers’ Advance article, despite a steady mix of rain, mist, and general unfavorable weather conditions, the three-day show and auction were an overall success as attendees filled the Michiana Event Center. In addition to the auction, several seminars headlined the event where a number of Purdue University and Michigan State University Extension Educators were present to share their expertise on various agricultural topics.

Farm show coordinator, Robert Mishler, said about the turnout in the Farmers’ Advance article, "We've generally had a good crowd, especially for this late in December.” He added, “This year was the first year for the seminars for women, they were pretty successful and we will definitely try this again next year.”
