According to a recent WiscNews article, John Deere enthusiasts will convene this summer at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Wisconsin to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the production of the John Deere 110 lawn tractor, the company’s first lawn and garden tractor.

The event, which will be held July 26-28, welcomes all models of John Deere lawn and garden tractors, but the focus will be on the 1963 model 110s, a landmark piece of equipment produced by Deere. According to the article, the weekend’s events will include a daily parade of tractors, a lawn tractor show and exhibition, a swap meet, lawn and garden memorabilia displays, blacksmith demonstrations, and photo opportunities.

Kate Goelzhauser, editor, Lawn & Garden Tractor Magazine, says in the WiscNews story, “This is a niche event for certain, but we all know John Deere enthusiasts come in large quantities and those interested in lawn and garden equipment are as passionate about their collecting as anyone. We’ve been planning this event for months and have collectors joining us from as far away as Canada, Connecticut, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. We can’t wait to see the variety of machines and fans that help us celebrate 50 years of mowing with John Deere.”

John Deere & Company has been producing lawn and garden tractors for 50 years; this event offers Deere supporters an opportunity to share their passion for these machines with others for a weekend in July.
