The path to digital transformation in the heavy construction industry just got a little smoother, thanks to a strategic partnership between John Deere and Leica Geosystems that brings significant enhancements to John Deere SmartGrade™ enabled equipment.

The global partnership will leverage Leica Geosystems’ storied sensors and technology to improve the usability and functionality of John Deere’s SmartGrade™ lineup. Furthermore, the partnership will align the brands' innovation and product development initiatives to create additional solutions that will increase productivity, reduce field passes, and improve safety on job sites.

Leica, a Hexagon company, is well-known for the accuracy and precision of its measurement products. The company’s software and services will be available on select 2024 John Deere construction equipment models.
