After extensive research, development, and testing, John Deere and Company has just announced (via JohnDeereReveal.com) its brand new ExactEmerge planter at the 2014 National Farm Machinery Show, which includes revolutionary features that will increase growing performance for planters in North America.

The ExactEmerge planter has been dubbed as a “true game changer,” as it will allow planters to achieve exceptional seed spacing at unprecedented speeds (up to 10 mph). Traditional seed tube technology has had a speed limit of around 5 mph; ExactEmerge almost doubles these previous planter capabilities. The new patented seed delivery system selects seeds at the meter then delivers them precisely, with virtually no roll or bounce to the bottom of the seed trench.

Bob Timmons, director of marketing for the United States and Canada agriculture and turf division, said during the reveal of the ExactEmerge, “This is not just some concept we are working on. This is reality. This is a true benefit for growers that have to work within a narrow and tight planting window in order to optimize their yield in their fields. This is true productivity. It is without a doubt the most productive planter we have ever built.”

After much anticipation, John Deere’s ExactEmerge planter has been revealed, promising to help crop producers get seed into the trench at higher speeds thanks to new technology, in an effort to adapt to an ever-decreasing planting window.
