According to a recent company news release, John Deere has introduced a new front-mounted tractor toolbox to provide operators with a spacious, convenient spot to transport and access their tools in the field.

Up until this point, finding room in a tractor cab for tools, parts, and other items needed while in the field has been an issue among operators. The new toolbox has been designed with a special front weight mount kit, which can be attached easily to the front weight support of the tractor, allowing the ability to mount to as few as four weights up to a full rack, according to Phil Lauer, marketing manager, John Deere.

The new Tractor Utility Box uses a patent-pending weight mount system that bolts on in the matter of minutes and can be easily removed or replaced as needed by the operator. The bracket system ensures the box is securely mounting, without compromising headlight use or tractor functions.

"The Tractor Utility Box is built from heavy gauge sheet steel and has a heavy-duty gas strut on the lid," Lauer explains in the release. "Locking pins make the opening and locking the box simple and easy. And, the box has two removable shelves and a fold down front door for easy access to the tools and supplies. There is plenty of room to store tools, tow chains, hitch pins, and other essential items."

Operators of John Deere tractors now have an opportunity to bring all the necessary tools into the field for a day’s work thanks to the new front-mounted tractor toolbox.
