A Nebraska company will collect its recognition from John Deere at a March 1 banquet.
A supplier of a vital component to John Deere manufacturing will be honored for its service at the agricultural giant's yearly banquet early next month, according to a press release.

Nucor Cold Finish, a Nebraska-based steel manufacturer, is the top awardee for the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program for 2010. Nucor, which provides cold finish bars to Deere, also won partner-level supplier status for 2010 and was named Enterprise Supply Management Supplier of the Year for the Deere-sponsored program. Nucor was tapped for the honors due to its products, service, quality and commitment to improvement.

"This is a real honor for all of our Nucor Nebraska teammates as we work toward establishing long-term, value driven relationships with our customers," Dan DiMicco, the chairman and chief executive officer of Nucor, said in a press release.

Nucor representatives will accept the award on March 1, during Deere's annual Achieving Excellence Awards Banquet. The program was established in 1991.

"It really demonstrates the strength of our integrated cold finish bar supply chain and our ability to consistently supply a wide range of exceptional quality cold finish bars under demanding market circumstances," according to DiMicco.
