John Deere continues to respond to farmers’ evolving needs with its Model Year 2027 tillage portfolio, featuring new implement sizes and broader autonomy-ready capabilities.

These updates give growers more options to match tillage tools to field sizes, tractor power, and operational goals while maintaining strong residue management and field finish performance.

From two-section High-Speed Disk configurations to additional autonomy-ready rippers and field cultivators, the MY27 tillage update reinforces Deere’s commitment to improving productivity and flexibility during tight post-harvest and pre-planting windows

A Broader Tillage Portfolio Built For Modern Operations

John Deere’s Model Year 2027 tillage updates introduce new implement sizes and configurations that help farmers better align equipment with their tractors, field sizes and operating goals. By adding more working width options and expanding autonomy-ready availability, the tillage lineup now supports a wider range of residue conditions, soil types and horsepower classes.

New two-section High-Speed Disk models are now available in 15-, 19-, 22- and 25-foot widths, giving operators more flexibility when balancing coverage, transport requirements and available power. These additions make it easier to size tillage tools appropriately without sacrificing residue management or field finish consistency.

Improved Residue Management and Soil Consistency

Residue management remains a key focus of the MY27 tillage updates, particularly for operations managing high-yield corn residue or variable field conditions. The latest High-Speed Disk configurations maintain consistent soil engagement across the full working width, supporting uniform mixing and a more even finish from edge to edge.

Design refinements help promote steady soil flow and consistent depth control, which reduces streaking and uneven passes. This level of consistency supports improved seedbed preparation and helps operators achieve desired field conditions with fewer adjustments across changing residue levels.

Efficiency Gains Across Every Pass

Efficiency improvements across the MY27 tillage lineup help farmers cover more acres during narrow fall and spring windows. Wider implement options allow operators to increase acres per hour, while designs that support higher operating speeds help maintain productivity without compromising soil finish.

Several tillage tools are also offered with factory-installed autonomy-ready configurations, now including 2730 combination rippers and 64’ and 69’ models of the 2230 field cultivators. These options give growers the ability to integrate autonomous tractor technology when it fits their operation, helping combat labor shortage pressure while improving productivity and efficiency.

Designed To Fit Into Diverse Crop Systems

The new John Deere Tillage Portfolio supports a range of cropping systems, from conventional tillage to reduced-pass approaches. Whether preparing ground after corn harvest or managing lighter residue ahead of soybeans, farmers can select tools and working widths that align with their agronomic objectives.

John Deere also updated the naming of its DA Series Applicators, formerly known as the 2510H. While the name might be new, customers can continue relying on the same proven performance they are used to across multiple seasons.
