A farm toy show was held in Fremont, Nebraska this past weekend and one man had the opportunity to stroll down memory lane.

The Fremont Tribune reports Ryan Foreman of Omaha reflected on his upbringing on an Iowa farm when purchasing a toy John Deere 7930 tractor on Saturday at the 2011 Farm Toy Show at the Christensen Field Main Arena.

"It's something fun to do," Foreman told the publication.

The farm show, which was partially sponsored by the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce, offered the opportunity for other attendees to purchase replica John Deere farm equipment. The fair was populated by a variety of booths with manuals, memorabilia and other material available at your local John Deere dealership.

Seeing the younger generation devoting time, energy and money to productive means pleased one vendor at the show.

"I like to see the young kids spending money on something other than video games," said Larry Welch. He said he became a toy seller after the death of the man from whom he used to buy toys. "I saw the need for someone to buy and sell."
