Some people with older farm equipment may think it doesn't have much use anymore.

However, a farm-centered festival in Wisconsin is looking for pieces of older agricultural equipment, which will be put on display. The Heritage Tractor Committee for the 2010 Farm Technology Days is looking for submissions.

According to the website for the festival - which is held in the state's Pierce County - the committee is looking for all types of machinery. That would include trucks, tractors and small engines, as long as they were produced before 1970.

"We want to get as many as possible signed up from Pierce County and southwest St. Croix County by Febuary 15 before we open it up to everyone," Dean Bergseng, co-chair for the committee, said.

According to Bergseng, the committee's goal is to get about 300 machines for the display, which will rest on 3 acres.

Whether antique or new, farm equipment is often a staple at agricultural shows across the country. For example, this year's Louisiana Ag Expo will feature farm equipment, as will the Virginia Heritage Farm Museum during its Tractorpalooza celebration.
