To cater to customers who want the benefits of AutoTrac™ guidance with their machine, John Deere has rolled out the John Deere AutoTrac Controller 300. This after-market steering kit does not impact operator ergonomics, nor does it require steering wheel modifications. Instead, it is customizable to different types, ages, and brands of ag machines, all while providing the benefits of AutoTrac precision guidance.

"We know that not all farmers operate new John Deere machines factory equipped with AutoTrac," said John Mishler, precision ag marketing manager for John Deere. "This solution is compatible with many newer Deere vehicles not already equipped with AutoTrac, as well as older machines and other equipment brands. It integrates with a John Deere precision ag display and StarFire™ receiver for a complete guidance system and a consistent John Deere Precision Ag experience across the entire fleet."

The John Deere AutoTrac Controller 300 is simple for any dealer to install and calibrate, and owner maintenance is a breeze, with no modifications necessary to the operator area. It uses hydraulic and electrical components that provide quick guidance line acquisition with the feel of an integrated system.

Mishler highlights that AutoTrac comes with several well-known benefits, such as reduced skips and overlaps, which can result in lower input costs for fuel, seed, and fertilizer.

“Now almost any producer can add guidance to their machines without having to trade vehicles, or more easily add it to non-Deere or smaller tractors to reap the productivity, accuracy and efficiency benefits precision guidance provides," Mishler added.

The John Deere AutoTrac Controller 300 can be used on cabbed or open-station Deere machines, as well as other brands of ag machines with front- or rear-wheel steering. It is available for order now, and more information on it can be found from your local John Deere dealer or by visiting www.JohnDeere.com.
