John Deere has announced that it has added grade guidance technology to its 210G LC excavator, in addition to other updates to LC excavator models, which are designed to improve productivity and reduce downtime. With the grade guidance system, operators have information on the bucket’s location with respect to a 2D reference or 3D design surface for the ultimate convenience.
The integrated grade guidance system is a great addition for those that use the equipment to complete tasks like digging trenches, shaping ditches, or digging foundations. Integration and calibration ensure that the machine is immediately ready to work as soon as it arrives on the jobsite.
In addition, the integration of JDLink provides information on how the system is being used and allows operators to rapidly diagnose issues as they work.
"Customers want to manage grade from inside the cab, quickly and accurately on precision excavation projects," said Jonathan Spendlove, excavator product marketing manager at John Deere Construction & Forestry. "Integrated grade guidance on the 210G LC comes ready for the customer to put it to work, is fully supported by their John Deere dealer, and will enable them to rapidly achieve final grade using only the display in the operator’s station."
The grade guidance system will be available on 350G LC and 470G LC excavator models within the next year. More information on model-specific specifications can be found by visiting your local John Deere dealer or www.JohnDeere.com.
