West Fargo, North Dakota resident Gavin Maus, a five-year-old boy with significant and permanent afflictions, has made a wish for a John Deere tractor and a meal of crab, according to the Fargo-Moorhead Forum.

As part of the North Dakota Make-a-Wish Foundation, Gavin will see his dream come true. The local members of the organization bought the young boy his very own John Deere 9420T Tractor, reported the news source.

Gavin hurried out of his West Fargo residence and sauntered up to the John Deere tractor, sporting a smile that only a five year old could muster. The youth was able to hop onto the vehicle with some help from family members, as the song "Big Green Tractor" was played on speakers that were set up on the front lawn, the Forum reported.

"I didn’t know what to expect," Crystal Maus, the boy's mother, told the news source. "It’s just really nice what Make-A-Wish and Joe’s Heroes has done for us. … We’re ready to have fun."

The Make-A-Wish Foundation was organized in 1980 as a way to provide strength, hope and a chance to make dreams come true for children with life-threatening diseases, according to the foundation's website.
