John Deere has launched a new line of tractors to meet the growing demands of the agricultural industry. The new 8360 Tractor features additions to the older 70 Tractor model and utilizes the latest technological advances in the field.

The John Deere 70 Row-Crop Tractor line was initially launched in 1953 by the agricultural giant and more than 43,000 of the original models were constructed at its Waterloo, Iowa plant. The vehicle featured all of the latest technological advances at the time and was released as a larger model than the 50 and 60 versions, according to Tractor Data.

Featuring a "bulged frame," the Model 70 Tractor had a larger engine than previous models and was available in a Rowcrop front wheel configuration as well as a Standard and Hi-Crop design. Each of the modifications could come with a diesel engine or an LP gas engine if the owner needed these additions, Retired Tractors reported.

The Model 70 Tractor came with manual steering with an option for power installation. The vehicle also came with a maximum 24.5-gallon fuel capacity, 1.75 auxillary capacity, a power take-off of 540 rear RPMs and broke the 50 horsepower level, reported Tractor Data.

While the older Model 70 was ahead of its time and the most powerful tractor from John Deere during the 1950's, the new 8360R tractor features a variety of modifications that set the new vehicle apart.

The John Deere 8360R Tractor comes with 360 horsepower, a standard fuel capacity of 180 gallons and a rate RPM rear take-off of 2100. Along with the increased power that the newest model comes with, the vehicle also features modern technology that is utilized to ease the role of the driver.

The 8360R Tractor comes complete with ActiveCommand steering, iTEC pro assisted end-of-row turning, mounting spray tanks and the Hitch CommandCenter which helps to control boost productivity.

Also featured on the 8360R are an Independent-Link Suspension modification, a spacious and more comfortable CommandView II cab, electrohydraulic technology and a touchscreen panel with a large GreenStar 3 2630 Display.

The 8360R Tractor comes complete with modern conveniences like a premium lighting system and XM Radio and Bluetooth capabilities.
