A total of 19 men traveled to Parkes, New South Wales, to see a collection of restored antique John Deere tractors, as the Australians came from all over the province to admire the vintage farm equipment, according to the Wellington Times.
The visitors inspected and drove each of the old John Deere models that Edgar Orr kept in his garage, the oldest vehicle being a 1925 version of the tractor. The men enjoyed the sights and sounds that were associated with the farm equipment, the news source reported.
According to the Times, the tractors were in showroom condition due to the amount of time that Orr put into their restoration. Though most of the vehicles in the garage were used farm equipment, the Parkes resident also had a new John Deere Combine Harvester, to the delight of the group.
John Deere Combine Harvesters are available in a variety of new models, ranging from the S Series to the 600 Series vehicles that can be equipped with new headers for better performance.
